Peachy pink blushes are one of my weaknesses so when Sleek released a new shade of Blush called Rose Gold a while ago, I just couldn’t resist. I had to get it! Here’s why:

What’s In Sleek Makeup Brush In Rose Gold?
Sleek Makeup Blush in Rose Gold has a shimmery finish, courtesy of mica. It’s a naturally occurring mineral that gives sparkle to products. The bigger the size of the mica, the shinier the blush.
Colour
Rose Gold is a stunning warm peachy pink with golden shimmers. From the reviews I’ve read online, this seems to be a close dupe for Nars Orgasm but without the glitter.
Texture
The texture is finely-milled, soft to the touch and easy to blend (make sure you use a light hand!). I have to admit I wasn’t expecting it. Drugstore blushes tend to be chalky and powdery, but not this.
Pigmentation
Sleek Makeup Blush in Rose Gold is super pigmented. Very flattering on darker skintones, fair-skinned girls like me need to be very careful with application if they don’t want to look like a clown! I’ve learned this the hard way. The first time I used it, I picked up too much product and ended up looking like Krusty The Clown.
Staying Power
Super long. It’s so pigmented, the colour and glow last all day. Ok, they fade a little, but they’re still there by evening.
Fragrance
It’s fragrance-free.
How To Use It
The best way to use this blush is to apply it with either a big fluffy brush like ELF Studio Complexion Brush or a duo fibre brush. Both types of brush don’t pick up too much product, giving you a natural and glowing effect. A little goes a looooooong way here.
Performance & Personal Opinion
I’m a sucker for peachy pink blushes. They give you that healthy flush that looks flattering on most skin tones. Plus, they’re easier to wear than a bright fuchsia or a dark bronze.
Sleek Makeup Blush in Rose Gold is one of those shades you can wear on any occasion, from a day of meetings at the office to a romantic dinner date with your man.
Just make sure to use a light hand. I know I’ve said it before, but with a blush so pigmented, it’s easy to go overboard and make mistakes.
As much as I like the colour, I don’t wear it too often because I find it challenging to apply. But then, I’m paler than most. If you have a darker skin tone, you’ll find it much easier to use.
I usually make the effort on days when I know I’ll be out from morning till evening. Even if I pack on a bit more in the early morning, I know I still have enough left on my cheeks to make me glow in the evening, too. No touch-up needed.
Who Is This For?
It’s more suitable for darker complexions, but anyone can use it.
Who Is This Not For?
If you like your blushes sheer or are a makeup newbie, you won’t like this.
Packaging
The sleek black compact comes with a mirror, making application easier. In case you’re wondering, a brush isn’t included. I don’t mind that as these brushes are often useless!

The packaging is pretty cute and compact as well…I wanted to buy Milani luminous (since I lost my Nars super orgasm blush 🙁 ) but always get pulled away by that bulky compact….
Citrine, I have Milani Luminous and it’s one of my favourite blushes, the color’s so pretty! But I agree about the packaging, it’s bulky and cheap. This one from Sleek looks much prettier.
I’m sorry you lost you Nars blush, that sucks 🙁
Oh, maybe I just misplaced it…but I haven’t been able to find it for around 7 months. Anyway, at least I still have my coralista (my default peachy pink) so I am good 🙂
I hope it’ll turn up then, it’s so annoying when you can’t find something anymore.
Coralista is gorgeous! I swatched it last time I was in Rome and was very tempted to get it but I have too many peachy pink blushes. One day though it’ll be mine..
Thank you for the review! I’ve been wanting to get their blushes for ages. Btw, I have NARS Orgasm and it’s a pretty shade 🙂
Marina, you’re welcome. I hope you get to try their blushes, they’re awesome. I’m really tempted to try Nars Orgasm but I already own two dupes of it.. maybe one day.. 🙂
L’ho ordinato e non vedo l’ora che mi arrivi, mi piaceva tantissimo solo a guardarlo in foto. 😀
Marguerite, il colore è veramente stupendo e molto pigmentato! Sono sicura che te ne innamorerai anche tu. 🙂
Man, so pigmented. And you could always use it as a spare eye shadow. 😉
Trisha, it is the most pigmented blush I’ve ever come across! You need to be careful with it but the result is beautiful.
I hadn’t though of that, but it would work very well as an eyeshadow, I really have to try it! 🙂
Woohooooo I’ll propably have my Sleek order in my hands tomorrow and of course I got Rose Gold too! 😀 It’s so pretty! x
Stavroula, that’s great! You’re gonna love it, I’m sure. It is stunning! 🙂
I got my sleek order today, omg the blushes are amazing!! 😀
xxx
I’m glad you finally got your order. The blushes are awesome indeed! 🙂
now i totally need this because i just the colour and the name! and ur post just made me decided that it is a MUST HAVE for me 😛
tee hee!
Plue, sorry, eheh! This is a must-have if you love pigmented, peachy-pink blushes. 😉 The quality is amazing for a drugstore blush.
But they were already sold out in the UK. *sob
That’s too bad. Some Sleek products do fly off the shelves so fast..
I am very impressed with the eyeshadow Palette I got (graphite) and I won’t be surprised on how pretty this came out
Nikki, aren’t their palettes awesome? And their blushes are just as good. 🙂
I was so tempted to get this the last time I was in Superdrug! The colour’s amazing but the shimmer is putting me off it ): I don’t think I can stand shimmer on my face ): Oh and I do have Nars Orgasm (and regretted it).
Desiree, the color is stunning but if you don’t like shimmer brushes then I’m not sure this is for you. That’s too bad you don’t like Orgasm, it’s a very popular shade but it doesn’t work for everyone.
I wish I have gotten this earlier. But the time I went to buy these, only Pomegranate was left. I started using Pomegranate, boy, was it pigmented too. but lovely shade. My blushes are usually on the sheer side which gives a glow instead of a pop of color on the cheeks!
Vonvon, I usually only use sheer blushes too. Having pale skin, it’s easier to control the amount you apply and get a natural look. You should try apply it with a duo fibre brush as that doesn’t pick up too much product. 🙂
Gio, I did! Just as Stavroula suggested in one of her comments in one of your previous posts. And I don’t even swipe the brush on the blush, but merely dab the fibers onto the surface of the blush, and they pick up quite a bit of color.
And my little girl commented…”mommy, why your cheeks are so red?…. hehe, you must be playing in the sun a lot.” *(%#$&&*(@^*
I shun the sun like plague. 😉
There you go…. that’s how pigmented Pomegranate is!
Vonvon, lol, sorry! Your little girl is too cute!
I’m sorry that didn’t work. Duo-fibre brushes pick up less color than regular blush brushes but I guess when a blush is so pigmented even a little bit of product is too much! I had that same problem the first I used it even though I was very careful with picking up just the least possible amount. The second time it went a bit better so I think it takes some practice. Hope you’ll be able to make it work for you as it is a beautiful color. 🙂
Hehehe your little girl is sooooo funny and cute! 🙂 Awwww I hope you’ll be able to make it work, because the color is fab! 🙂
xxx
Oh, I have Orgasm in the NARS palette I got. Guess that’s a little consolation since they are similar. 🙂
Vonvon, yep, I don’t think you need this one if you have Orgasm.. 🙂
