After Urban Decay came out with their Naked Palette, every brand is following suit with their version. I’m not complaining, every girl needs a neutral eyeshadow palette in her stash.
If you’re on a budget, Sleek Makeup i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette in Au Naturel seems like a good dupe. But is it, really?

What’s In Sleek Makeup i-Divine Au Naturel Eyeshadow Palette?
Sleek Makeup I-Divine Au Naturel Eyeshadow Palette features 8 matte and 4 shimmery eyeshadows in soft and dark neutral tones.
The shimmery finish is courtesy of mica. It’s a naturally occurring mineral that gives sparkle to products. The bigger the size of the mica, the shinier the eyeshadows.
Colours
The best thing about the neutrals in Au Naturel? They’re neither too warm nor too cool, so they’ll suit most skintones. Let’s look at them one by one, shall we?
- Taupe: Shimmering peachy taupe
- Toast: Matte light peach, pigmented
- Honeycomb: Matte light yellow, pigmentation is ok
- Cappuccino: Matte light beige
- Nubuck: Matte light grey, sheer
- Nougat: Matte light white cream shade, nicely pigmented
- Noir: Matte black
- Regal: Matte reddish brown
- Mineral Earth: Shimmering dark brown
- Bark: Matte dark brown
- Moss: Shimmering military green with brown undertones
- Conker: Shimmering reddish brown
Texture
Soft, non-powdery, and easy to blend. Yes, even the mattes.
Pigmentation
Not as pigmented as we’ve come to expect from Sleek Makeup. Toast and Honeycomb are a bit more pigmented than how they look in the swatches, but the first row of eyeshadows provides just a soft wash of colour on the lids.
The darker matte shades fare better. They have good colour payoff – the shimmery hues way more than the mattes.
Staying Power
The eyeshadows start to crease on my slightly oily lids after about 8 hours. But they’ll last longer if you use a primer underneath. I always do, just in case.
Fragrance
It’s fragrance-free.
How To Use It
With your own brushes. The one that comes with the palette isn’t very good. And don’t forget to use an eyeshadow primer underneath to make the matte shades more vibrant and long-lasting.
Performance & Personal Opinion
Sleek Makeup I-Divine Au Naturel Eyeshadow Palette is my least fave palette from Sleek Makeup. For starters, half of the shades aren’t as pigmented as we’re used to.
Sure, they’re good for creating barely-there, natural looks. This palette isn’t called Au Naturel for nothing, ya know? Me, I prefer to use them to highlight my browbone.
But not everyone digs this style. If you have dark skin, for example, I recommend you swatch the shades in the store to see how well they show up on you. You don’t want to buy a palette only to discover you can’t use half its shades.
What about the other half? You can use the darker, more pigmented shades to create deeper and smokier looks for night time.
Either way, use an eyeshadow primer underneath. I didn’t experience much fallout, but a primer does improve the colour payoff.
Who Is This For?
- Anyone who likes no-makeup makeup looks.
- Fair skintones
Who Is This Not For?
- Anyone who is into colourful eyeshadows
- Darker skintones (not every colour will show up well on you)
Packaging
A sleek black case with a big mirror (handy!) and a double-tipped sponge applicator (useless!).

Ooh! I’m a bit of a nut for neutral shades so this palette seems right up my alley! Thanks for sharing 😀
Celina, if you love neutral shades, you’ll love this. The colors are perfect for daily wear and pigmented. 🙂
Wow, this palette looks divine! I’m glad you got a chance to try it. Nude is so in these days. Everywhere I turn, there’s a nude palette begging to be bought.
Dao, it is divine eheh. And that’s so true, nude palettes are popping up everywhere these days. 🙂
I saw this in Superdrug this morning, swatched them but somehow didn’t quite like it.
Instead I found one Oh So Special palette in the drawer, and got that! 🙂
Vonvon, when I first swatched the first row I wasn’t too impressed (the second one is gorgeous) but after playing with it I changed my mind. This is part of the Nude collection so it makes sense that it contains some subtle shades that provide just a wash of colors on the lids. You can use the first row of shades for the “no makeup look” and the second one for more dramatic, but natural, looks. But if that’s not your thing, then the Oh So Special palette is a better buy. That one has some gorgeous color and the matte shades are more pigmented.
OOh, i want want wanttttttt
Ling, it’s gorgeous, isn’t it?
Bellissima questa palette!
Fidya, si, lo è davvero. 🙂
Thanks for the swatches! I am SO getting this palette. I love that there are a lot of matte shades. My favourite shades have to be Regal and Conker.
Marina, you’re welcome. If you love neutrals and matte this palette will be just right up your alley. And those are very pretty shades indeed.
I got this this afternoon, with the Oh So Special one – and I love them both – in fact I’m going to ‘mothball’ my UD Naked palette as I think I prefer these 🙂 The blush in this new ‘Nude’ set is great too – just right for work.
Viv, they are both beautiful palettes, perfect for everyday looks. I have the blush too but haven’t played with it yet, only swatched it and it seems very wearable. 🙂
haven’t had the chance to try sleek makeup palette myself but all of a sudden, it’s all over on the internet
Xin, eheh, guess that’s cos it has just been released. It is a wonderful palette. If you like neutral and matte shades, you should consider trying it. 😉
Gorgeous!!!! I am holding onto my one and only Sleek Palette which I won from a contest! i love how pigmented they are!!!
Nikki, they are gorgeous and pigmented indeed. Love them too. 🙂
mmm these do look quite nice. Very Naked Palette like at a fraction of the price 🙂 But it does tend to be a little warm which is something I’m afraid of 🙁
Paris, I like how dupes of the Naked palette are springing up everywhere and at all price points so anyone can afford a good naked palette. They are a bit warm but not that much. I think they will suit a wide variety of skintones. But I know you’re not too fond of the matte texture of Sleek shadows and this one has a lot of them. Most of them are soft and perfect for barely-there looks but may not be everyone’s cup of tea.
I already own the Naked palette and basically every nude eyeshadows around.
But I still want this one!!
S, it’s gorgeous, isn’t it? It’s one of those palettes that’s difficult to resist even if you already have similar shades. And it’s so affordable!
I am so tempted to buy this palette, I just bought the Storm and Acid palettes and I love them!
Sal, those are two of my favourite Sleek palettes. The pigmentation is awesome and the Acid palette has some crazy shades! This new one is very tempting too, isn’t it?
i like regal and conker 🙂
Vonnie, those are very beautiful shades! 🙂
Pretty. 🙂 Too bad about the sheerness of the matte shades, though. Sheer: boo.
Trisha, I was disappointed about that at first but once I tried them, I love how soft they look on the lids. I think it would have bothered me more if this had been a colorful palette, but this is a neutral one and the matte shades, as Sleek states, are meant to create a subtle effect for the day and that it does really well. It keeps its promises but I understand not every one will like it.
I *need* this palette!! 😀 I have quite a few of their iDivine palettes, but not this one.
Stavroula, this is a great palette to own if you are into natural eyeshadows. I love how the first row creates really subtle looks and they second more dramatic, but still very natural ones.
