review ecooking 24 hour cream

Can a cream moisturise and nourish your skin for 24 hours straight?

Ecooking 24 Hour Cream is so confident it can do the job, it turned the claim into its name. Does it deliver? Only one way to find out:

What’s In Ecooking 24 Hour Cream?

SWEET ALMOND OIL

Did you know that sweet almond oil is the most popular massage oil among therapists?

The reason is simple: it’s so lightweight, it sinks in immediately without leaving a greasy residue behind. No wonder Ecooking chose it as a base for its 24 Hour Cream.

Plus, it’s very moisturising. It creates a barrier on the skin that slows down water loss, keeping your skin softer and well-hydrated for longer.

SHEA BUTTER

Derived from the nut of the Shea tree, shea butter is a godsend for dry and sensitive skin.

Shea butter is rich in fatty acids that create a protective barrier on the skin that slows down water loss. Moisture is now forced to stay into the skin, hydrating it from within.

Plus, this barrier also protects your skin from harsh weather, germs, pollutants and anything else that tries to harm it. Perfect for skin that needs to heal.

FYI, shea butter is even more moisturising than mineral oil (what derms consider the gold standard for moisturisation). Its effects lasts for up to 8 hours, if not more!

Texture

Just slightly on the heavy side, it sinks in quickly without feeling sticky.

Fragrance

White floral. Slightly herbal. Hangs around for a while.

How To Use It

In the morning, use it after serums and before sunscreen. At night, it’s the last step of your skincare routine.

Performance & Personal Opinion

I prefer to use Ecooking 24 Hour Cream at night. I find the texture a little bit too heavy on my oilier t-zone during the day, especially when I add sunscreen on top.

As I night cream, I have no complaints. It glides on smoothly and sinks in immediately without leaving a greasy residue all over my skin or pillow.

As soon as I put it on, I can feel my skin is already softer to the touch. When I wake up in the morning, it looks so supple and healthy. Even my fine lines look a little smaller. That’s what moisture does for your skin.

If your skin is drier than mine, I do recommend you use it during the day. It’s so moisturising, it helps protect your skin from the harsh cold winter weather, preventing dryness and flakiness.

But does it last 24 hours? Not on my dry areas. Come evening (or morning), I need to reapply again. In the end, it really depends on how healthy your skin is. The more it’s naturally moisturised, the less often you have to reapply the cream.
