There’s a reason why I don’t review that many cleansers.
They’re boring. All they do is cleanse skin. An important job for sure but hardly exciting.
Beuti Pomegranate Glow Enzyme Cleanser Flash Mask is just different enough to pique my interest:
- It uses fermented pomegranate
- It has an unique gel/balm texture
- You can use it as a mask too
On paper it sounds awesome. But how does it fare when put to the test? Let’s found out:

What’s In Beauty Pomegranate Glow Enzyme Cleanser Flash Mask?
SWEET CHERRY OIL & SWEET ALMOND OIL
I’m highlighting these two because they made it to the top of the ingredient list but this cleanser is loaded with oils. It’s how it cleanses skin.
Huh? Shouldn’t oils make skin greasy, not clean?!
Not quite. Remember the “like attracts like” principle they taught you in science class (it’s ok to say no, I’ve forgotten most of the things I was taught at school, too 😉 ).
Oils like sweet almond oil attach themselves to the oils on your skin, makeup and sunscreen and bring them away on a trip down the drain.
Oils are multitaskers. They don’t just cleanse skin. As they take away dirt, they also moisturise skin, leaving it soft and supple. That’s why they’re best for dry skin (but oily skin can use them too).

FERMENTED POMEGRANATE EXTRACT
Pomegranate is an unsung skincare hero:
- it protects against UV-induced damage (think wrinkles and cancer)
- it thickens skin (like retinol)
- it brightens skin and fades dark spots (when taken orally)
Beuti Pomegranate Glow Enzyme Cleanser Flash Mask doesn’t have pomegranate. It has fermented pomegranate. The brand claims fermented pomegranate acts like glycolic acid: it exfoliates skin, making it brighter and smoother.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any independent studies supporting it works this way. That’s not to say it doesn’t. Fermentation, when done right, can help the nutrients in these extracts to better penetrate skin and do their job.
It’s just that fermented ingredients haven’t been studied that well yet so we don’t know if they’re as amazing as they’re touted to be.
Still, pomegranate in skincare gets my seal of approval. It’s so powerful, I wish more brands were using it. 🙂

CITRUS + GERANIUM OILS
I applaud Beuti for not putting an artificial, irritating, fragrance in this cleanser. But, like many natural products out there, this cleanser isn’t 100% free from irritants.
Citrus oils and geranium oils are natural oils with beautiful fragrances used to make products smell good. But, their lovely fragrant components can irritate sensitive skin.
If you’ve used these oils before without problems, there’s no reason to panic. I do and they’ve never bothered my skin. It’s just something to keep in mind if you’re sensitive to them. 🙂
Texture
Beuti Skincare Pomegranate Glow Enzyme Cleanser Flash Mask is brown in colour with a gel-balm hybrid texture that spreads easily on the skin. If I use too much, it feels just a tad sticky but that’s more my fault. 🙂
Fragrance
Beuti didn’t add an artificial fragrance to the cleanser. But the essential oils give it a fresh, slightly citrusy scent.
How To Use It
You can use Beuti Pomegranate Glow Enzyme Cleanser Flash Mask in two ways:
- Cleanser: Apply 2 pumps onto your face. Add a small amount of water to create a milky lotion. Rinse off.
- Mini facial: Apply generously to the face and leave it on for 2-5 minutes.
Performance & Personal Opinion
I use Beuti Pomegranate Glow Enzyme Cleanser Flash Mask mostly as a morning cleanser. It spreads easily into the skin, taking away all traces of dirt without irritating it. It leaves my skin clean and soft and a little glowy.
Keep in mind, my skin is combination tending towards dry in the winter months. If your skin is oilier than me all over, this cleanser may leave a small, greasy residue on the skin. If that bothers you, double cleanse.
If my skin feels a little tight, I’d use it as a mask and leave it on for 5 minutes. I find it’s more moisturising that way. My skin is softer and smoother and glows more.

Oily and acne-prone skin.

Does Beuti Pomegranate Glow Enzyme Cleanser Flash Mask Live Up To Its Claims?
CLAIM | TRUE? |
---|---|
Cleanses and detoxifies. | It cleanses skin, but it can’t detoxify it. No skincare products can detoxify skin. Your kidneys and liver do that. |
Calms and soothes inflammation. | It depends. It does contain anti-inflammatory ingredients, but also a few drops of essential oils that may be problematic for sensitive skin. |
Decongest and refines skin tone. | Decongest and refines are very vague claims. It can make skin smoother, but it won’t unclog pores. |

Rebecca, I will. Thanks for the suggestion.
